Abstract

Digital technology expands oral communication methods and reconstructs Aboriginal oral narratives with diverse forms of presentation. This paper analyzes the role of Aboriginal oral narratives and explores the impact of digital technology on the development of oral history. Aiming at the diversity and complexity of aboriginal oral languages, a multilingual real-time end-to-end speech translation model is proposed. Based on the two elements of textual data and image impact, digital projection technology is used to visualise oral information. Comparative tests are conducted to examine the recognition accuracy of speech recognition and translation technology in the oral speech of aborigines. Combined with the existing communication effect evaluation model, we construct a communication effect evaluation system for the digital transformation of oral communication through the dimensions of communication content and subject-object dimension. Based on the retrieval data of “Aboriginal oral narratives”, the effects of digital oral communication are evaluated. The evaluation indicators of the effect of digital oral communication include three parts: communication content dimension (24.47%), communication subject dimension (21.57%), and communication object dimension (53.96%), and the overall score is 73.5, which is at a good level. Digitization technology can enhance the transmission effectiveness of oral communication methods.
