Abstract

Based on the three-dimensional framework of the WSR (Wuli-Shili-Renli) system methodology, the article analyzes how W (Wuli: physical aspect), S (Shili: managerial aspect), and R (Shili: human-related aspect) can be effectively integrated into English teaching management in higher education institutions. By constructing a three-dimensional perspective of the WSR system methodology, primary, secondary, and tertiary indicators are defined, and a qualitative and quantitative study is conducted on the coordinated relationship between the indicators. The objective is to investigate the practical effectiveness of the WSR methodology in college English education. In the analysis of the weight values of the indicators within the evaluation system for the effectiveness of college English teaching and management, the weight of the English course design indicators in the operational dimension is higher than that of the English teaching system indicators. Therefore, teachers should define the focus and difficulties of the curriculum, teach according to students’ capabilities in class, update teaching concepts, and innovate assessment methods to enhance the effectiveness of teaching English courses.
