With the development of scientific research capabilities around the world, VR technology has been developed and recognized in various industries. Interior design, as a marketing product of service industry, can no longer meet the ever-increasing environmental demand by simply relying on the traditional interior scheme display. Therefore, applying virtual reality technology to assist design has become a hot spot in the current interior design research. In this paper, we analyze the traditional way and process experience of interior design and conclude that there are shortcomings in using effect drawings for interior design. Applying VR technology to interior design can bring users a visually immersive experience, which shows that VR technology can be applied in the field of interior design. By using actual cases to practice and analysis, and then by summarizing the real evaluation, we can get the interior design method and process based on virtual reality technology, and then summarize the advantages of its method, so as to provide reference for designers to design interior schemes.
