Abstract

In this paper, we first constructed a model for analyzing the factors influencing the vocational competence of higher vocational English using the logistic regression model and optimized the model by maximizing the likelihood function and minimizing the loss function in order to obtain the best model. Then, the model’s performance was evaluated, the binomial categorical logistic regression parameters were calculated, and the dominance ratio of each influential variable was analyzed using the model. Then, based on the model, the degree of influence of each influential factor on comprehensive vocational competence in English courses was explored, and the correlation between subjective and objective factors and English vocational competence was analyzed. The study shows that the water of significance of each factor on vocational competence is in the range of 5%-10%, and the p-value of each influencing factor in the independent t-test is less than 0.05, which indicates that the different influencing factors have a positive influence on vocational competence. This study provides a scientific basis for higher vocational English education and is of great significance for the reform and innovation of higher vocational English education.
