The article illustrates and analyzes the environmental features of Rim Valley and Shifangou Village in the northern Qinling Mountains. Firstly, the ecological characteristics of Rim Valley in terms of elevation, slope, slope direction, river network, and land use classification were summarized through Arcgis mapping so as to overview the environment of Shifangou village as a sub-body of the Rim Valley; secondly, the environmental data of Shifangou village were obtained through field research, and the village landscape evaluation was conducted according to the local conditions, and the methods used were hierarchical analysis and villagers’ rating method, which were based on four dimensions of village environment: ecological elements, production elements, life elements, and feelings elements. The technique used is hierarchical analysis and villagers’ rating method, which mainly evaluates the rural environment in four dimensions, namely, rural ecological elements, rural production elements, rural life elements, and rural feeling elements, and expands on the basis of the “Three Lives” research method, focusing on people’s feelings towards the countryside, so as to arrive at the basic situation of the environment in Shifangou Village.
