ENGINEERING JOURNALS

PUBLISHING ETHICS

Engineering Journals is committed to responsible, transparent and trustworthy scholarly communication. We work with editors, authors and reviewers to uphold high standards of integrity throughout the research lifecycle.

OUR COMMITMENT

Integrity at every stage

We give the journals we publish practical guidance based on accepted industry best practices, and we advise editorial boards on the evolving expectations of indexing services and the academic community. Our approach is informed by internationally recognised frameworks, including the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and we review journal websites and policies regularly so that they remain clear, accurate and up to date.

WHAT WE OFFER

Support that builds trust

Tools and infrastructure

Our services support ethical workflows from submission to publication. Journals have access to an online submission and peer review system, research integrity checks, and a publishing platform that registers DOIs and links every article to Crossref and Crossmark, so that corrections, updates and retractions are always visible to readers.

Advisory support

When an editor faces a difficult ethical question, our publishing team offers tailored guidance. We point to international standards, identify the policies that apply and suggest clear, practical next steps. We do not override editorial decisions or settle disputes on behalf of the board: our role is to bring clarity and confidence while respecting editorial autonomy.

EDITORIAL INDEPENDENCE

Decisions belong to the editors

Every decision on content, editorial policy and peer review rests solely with the editors-in-chief and editorial boards of each journal. Engineering Journals does not interfere in editorial matters or influence outcomes.

We act as a collaborative partner, providing the tools, infrastructure and expert advice that make transparency, integrity and independent decision-making possible throughout the publishing process.

SHARED RESPONSIBILITY

Protecting the scholarly record

As publisher, Engineering Journals may suspend or end its collaboration with a journal if serious ethical breaches occur. This is not a punitive measure: it is necessary to preserve the trust of authors, readers and editors and to safeguard the credibility of the scholarly record.

We remain dedicated to publishing environments where integrity, openness and independence are protected and can flourish.
