Cluster Analysis Algorithm-Oriented Identification of Key Issues and Construction of Practical Paths for Modernization of Vocational Education Governance

Abstract

Focusing on the modernization of vocational education governance is the logic and core value pursuit of higher vocational education policy making since the reform and opening up, and the identification of key issues in the modernization of education governance has become an effective way to promote the development of vocational education. This study constructs characteristic equations and extracts the contribution rates of various key issue identification elements using principal component analysis to obtain the main indicators of key issue identification in the modernization of vocational education governance. Then the CUBN algorithm is used to cluster and analyze the types of vocational colleges and universities with different key problems in modernizing vocational education governance. Then, a practical platform for identifying key problems in modernizing vocational education governance is constructed. The results of the study show that vocational colleges and universities in Province H have identified five different types of key problems of vocational education governance modernization, but vocational colleges and universities as a whole have lower scores in identifying key problems of vocational education modernization. The implementation of the practical path was found to have a significant role in promoting the construction and improvement of modern educational governance in vocational colleges. The practice platform for identifying key issues of modernization of vocational education governance constructed based on principal component analysis and cluster analysis algorithm in this paper can objectively reflect the key issues of modernization of education governance in vocational colleges and universities as well as the improvement of the issues, and promote the high-quality construction of modernization of education governance in vocational colleges and universities.
