Abstract

The development of digital intelligence technology has created a brand new path for the improvement of physical education teaching quality. Aiming at the deficiencies of the current physical education teaching quality, the study introduces digital intelligence technology to design the strategy of physical education teaching quality improvement and establishes the physical education teaching quality evaluation model based on the PSO-BPNN algorithm to quantify the effect of physical education teaching quality improvement empowered by digital intelligence technology. Five courses, including basketball and soccer, taken by a university in 2022-2023 are evaluated as objects to assess the teaching quality of physical education after the empowerment of digital intelligence technology. The results show that the error between the actual output results and the expected output results of the PSO-BPNN model is within the ideal error range. And the evaluation grades of the five courses reached good and above, among which soccer and table tennis achieved excellent grades. It indicates that the PSO-BPNN model can effectively quantify the impact of the application of digital intelligence technology on the improvement of physical education teaching quality. At the same time, it shows that the teaching method of digital intelligence in physical education can significantly improve the quality of physical education teaching.
